This is one of my most recent lesson plans that I created for a class my senior year. This assignment had us create a lesson plan in our content area that was effective, differentiated to all students, and original. While writing this I saw myself as a complete member of the discourse community I was striving so hard to be in just two semesters prior. Writing this lesson plan came easier to me then most other assignments I completed my senior year. I was engaged while writing, having fun with the assignment, and after everything was all said and done I was very proud of my work that I had completed. No other lesson plan or unit plan I completed had ever made me feel that way. I'm sure that some time down the road I will look back on this, when I am a teacher, and pick out many things that need revision or that need to be deleted. However, for the time being, this marks a time in my college career where I was extremely proud of something that I produced. Also, a time where I felt that I could without a doubt belong in the educational discourse community.
